“My People of Kikuyu” – Prayer (African Kenyatta Civilization)

Are you in a battle today, and it’s taking more than just a physical toll on you? Are you finding it difficult to find the words to tell the devil to be gone? Spiritual warfare is crippling, real, and troublesome, but our CREATOR has already won us the victory! !

It happens to all of us, we are in a hurry, or distracted, running late and we forget to pause and be thankful for everything around us. Stepping out of the house and getting in the car for work, we tend to forget the significance power of prayer. Soon, we tend to feel spiritually weak, making difficult to cope with spiritual battles we face daily.

We make mistakes, get angry, and say things we wish we hadn’t. We offend our CREATOR by refusing to recognize him/her for all that we have and will achieve.

Spiritual warfare is real, and it help strengthen us for whatever we will face in the day to come. They are like putting on armor clothing to keep us strong and safe. Warfare prayers are preemptive strikes against the enemy of our souls. By praying these spiritual warfare prayers before you start your day, you will prepare yourself for any difficulties or trials that will come.

This is a prayer by the Kenyatta people accredited by the Kikuyu to Gikuyu, the founder of their tribe, after God (the ‘Great Elder’) had let him into the fertile land which is now their home. Pray along with these words now and let the CREATOR will break the chains of fear and bondage.

“O My Father, Great Elder,
I have no words to thank you,
But with your deep wisdom
I’m sure that you can see
How I value your glorious gifts.
O My Father, when I look upon your greatness,
I am confounded with awe.
O Great Elder,
Ruler of all things earthly and heavenly,
I’m your warrior,
Ready to act in accordance with your will. “

  1. First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and
clear your thoughts before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting
my ideas out. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost
simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?

    Thank you!
